India’s backbars just got a little more golden. Licor 43, Spain’s iconic liqueur with a secret recipe of (you guessed it) 43 natural ingredients, has officially landed in India.

Thanks to a new partnership between Zamora Company and Monika Alcobev, bartenders in Goa and Mumbai can now get their hands on the smooth, vanilla-kissed spirit that’s been winning hearts in more than 80 countries for over 70 years. And this is just the start. North, West, and South India (hello Karnataka, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu) are next on the roll-out list.

Why bartenders should care:

Licor 43 isn’t just a sweet pour, it’s a versatile flavour bomb built for modern mixology. Think creamy dessert-style cocktails, unexpected coffee pairings, or even an aromatic twist in your classics.

If you are stuck for how to use this, why not start with two tried and tested favourites.

Golden Affogato (Digestif Serve)

  1. 45 ml Licor 43 Original
  2. 1 scoop premium vanilla gelato
  3. 30 ml hot espresso

Method: Pour Licor 43 over gelato in a chilled coupe, top with fresh espresso. Garnish with shaved dark chocolate. Perfect end to a meal with rich, aromatic layers.

Highball Serve – “Citrus Gold Highball”

  1. 45 ml Licor 43 Original
  2. 15 ml fresh lemon juice
  3. Top with chilled soda water
  4. Lemon wheel & mint sprig for garnish

Method: Build over ice in a highball glass. Bright, refreshing, and sessionable, ideal for warm evenings and aperitivo hours.

And if you like to keep things interesting, India is also getting Chocolate and Crème Brûlée variants, perfect for seasonal specials or high-impact signature drinks.

Monika Alcobev, known for bringing premium spirits like Martin Miller’s Gin and Villa Massa Limoncello to India, calls this launch a “milestone for the evolving palate of Indian consumers.” With the country’s imported spirits market on the rise and drinkers looking for more premium, story-rich pours, the timing couldn’t be better.

So next time you’re planning your cocktail list, you might just want to add a little Spanish gold.
