Indian gin brand Jin Jiji has achieved major recognition at the London Spirits Competition 2025, winning two of the most prestigious awards: "World’s Best Gin" and "Spirit of the Year".

Jin Jiji, crafted by Peak Spirits, is distilled with Himalayan juniper, tulsi (holy basil), chamomile, and other Indian botanicals. The gin competed against over 500 spirits from more than 30 countries and stood out for its balance of quality, value, and packaging - the three criteria on which the competition judges products.

Additionally, Jin Jiji Darjeeling Gin was awarded a Silver Medal with 92 points. This expression features flavours inspired by Darjeeling tea and Indian spices, showcasing another facet of India’s rich botanical tradition.

The London Spirits Competition is considered one of the most important global platforms for assessing spirits that appeal both to trade buyers and consumers. Winning Spirit of the Year means Jin Jiji not only tasted exceptional but also delivered great value and presented itself well for the hospitality industry.

Founded by Ansh Khanna, Jin Jiji has previously earned awards at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and the International Wine and Spirit Competition. However, the 2025 London win marks a significant breakthrough on the global stage for Indian craft spirits.

Jin Jiji is now available in several international markets including the USA, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore. The brand’s name, inspired by the Sanskrit word "Jijivisha" (meaning an intense desire to live and thrive), reflects its ambition to represent India’s rich botanical heritage in the global spirits industry.

This victory is a strong signal of India’s growing potential in the premium gin and craft spirits category - an exciting development for Indian bartenders, hospitality professionals, and spirit enthusiasts.
